Weekend Junk #4

All week I dreamed of a Saturday full of thrifting…then I slept in late…then my boyfriend’s family planned a get-together. I ended up with only 30 minutes of thrifting time. That was plenty of time for a quick trip to East Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop’s half-off sale. I’d also stopped by on Thursday when I went to the bank, which is across the street from the thrift store (you can’t pass an opportunity like that up). That should explain why some items are marked half-off and some aren’t.

Here are my finds:

Black Shelf $4.00

Gold 8x10 Frame $2.00 $1.00
Wood Tray $2.00 $1.00

White Vase $0.50 $0.25
Candleholder $1.50 $0.75
Cheese Dome $5.00 $2.50

Glass Honey Jar $0.50
Milk Glass Plate $3.00
Glass Jar $0.50
Pair of Brass Candleholders $4.00 $2.00

I found some great pieces for just a couple quick stops. My project list is definitely growing. I’m going to have to bust out the spray paint and de-brass the world soon.

Do watch Cash and Cari on HGTV? I just watched it and am now obsessed and thinking non-stop about thrift store finds and refurbishing. I'm so excited to use what you share as my inspiration! Can't wait to see more of what you do with your house. :)

  5. @country girl: Yes, I love Cash and Cari! Sometimes I think Cari is a little dull, but I love the idea behind it. Although, I get jealous that I can't buy some things they find on the show.
