FabFitFun Fall 2018 Unboxing

Happy September! Can you believe it’s already fall?!?! It’s still 100+ degrees here in Phoenix, but I think we’re finally past the 115+ degree days. Hallelujah! I received my Fall 2018 FabFitFun box last week, so today I want to share everything in this season’s box. I’m an annual subscriber (I pay for a full year instead of each season), so I’m considered a Select Member. That just means that I can pick between colors/styles/items for a few of the products. The rest are a surprise for everyone, but I always search for spoilers ahead of time.

*This post contains some affiliate links. I receive a small percentage of the purchase price at no additional cost to you. However, I paid for this box and subscription with my own money and this post is not sponsored.

Let’s start with the choice items! First off, all members were able to choose between a French press or tea pot. I don’t really drink coffee or loose leaf tea, but Adam drinks coffee so I picked the ALFRED French Press Coffee Brewer ($22 value). He’s used it a few times already and really likes it.

The next choice was between a Crown Brush 6-Piece Brush Set ($75 value) or Vince Camuto Luck Tote (available in 2 colors). I picked the brush set because I’m currently using a cheaper, mismatched set and thought it would be fun to have some nicer matching brushes. Although now I kinda wish that I would have picked the tote because my laptop case buckle just broke and it would have been perfect for my work computer…oh well…

And finally, everyone was able to pick between CYLO COBRA Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds or a Catherine Malandrino Umbrella (both $40 value). I live in Phoenix and already own 4+ umbrellas, so it was a no-brainer to pick the earbuds (although I loved the poppy-print umbrella). I haven’t tried the earbuds yet, but from the reviews in the FabFitFun forum, they aren’t great quality. Honestly, this choice was a total bust for me.

The next 2 items were select options, so only select members are able to pick their items. Seasonal subscribers are sent one of the items at random. My first select item was the Farmacy Dew It All Total Eye Cream ($38 value). The other options were Cuccio Yogahh! Detox Bath soak or Touch in Sol Lipstick Duo. I love eye creams so this was an easy choice! I’ve been using it for a few days, so it’s too soon to tell if it’s working, but I love the texture and a little goes a long way so this jar is going to last forever.

The next select options were all GROWN ALCHEMIST products. Select members were able to choose between an exfoliant, day cream, or cream cleanser. I’ve heard such good things about this brand, so this was a hard choice. I ended up picking the GROWN ALCHEMIST Polishing Facial Exfoilant ($67 value) and I’m happy with my selection. It’s a gentle and safe for everyday use, so this would be perfect for any skin type. I love how my skin feels afterwards!

OK, now let’s talk about the surprise items that everyone received. First was a 2-pack of GLAMGLOW Bubblesheet Oxgenating Deep Cleanse Masks ($18 value). I used one of them last night and it’s pretty crazy how foamy it gets! It only takes 3 minutes, so they’re perfect if you don’t have time for a full 20 minute mask. Although I think next time I’m going to do it in the morning before I shower. I ended up getting foam all in my hair and it would have been easier to rinse that way. Anyway, my skin looks amazing today, but was a little tight when I woke up so definitely need to moisturize well afterwards.

The next item is the SKIN&CO Roma Blue in Capri Shower Gel ($22 value). It has kind of an herb-y, floral smell. I’ve been using it for the past few days and it’s fine. Honestly, this is one of the items in the box that’s practical, but nothing special.

Everyone also received a beautyblender ($20 value). I’ve been using a knock-off foam blender for months and love it, so I was really excited to try the OG blender. The first couple days I was unimpressed, but I have to admit now that my makeup looks really even when using the beautyblender. I’d have a hard time paying full price for one, so I love that this was in our box.

Lastly, everyone got this set of Simply Whimsical Tea Towels ($15 value). This is another practical, but nothing special item. I’ll definitely use these in the kitchen, but it’s not an item that would make someone subscribe to this box, ya know…Although I do like that they included something completely different from anything that's been in the box before.

The box also included one sponsored product - a Salted Caramel Nut Luna Rica bar. The sponsored items don't count towards the total value of the box. They're just an extra bonus!

So that’s everything that was included in the Fall 2018 box! Overall, I liked this box, but I think a lot of the items were more practical than usual. I appreciate that it saves me from having to buy more shower gel and I could use new kitchen towels, but I definitely prefer more fun products like the bubble masks or new skin care products like the GROWN ALCHEMIST and the Farmacy Eye Cream. Of course it’s still such a fun treat and totally worth the money IMO. My version of the box included $317 worth of products for only $50!

If you want to try FabFitFun, you can use this link and promo code WELCOME to save $10 off your first box. If you don’t want to commit to a full year, you can sign up with that link for just one box, get everything for $40, and then cancel.

Do you subscribe to any subscription boxes? I’m seriously SO close to subscribing to CAUSEBOX and as you know, I also love getting the monthly Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box (see unboxing here).
