FabFitFun Summer 2018 Box

It’s unboxing time! I renewed my annual FabFitFun subscription this season and I’m so happy I did. This season’s is one of my favorite boxes so far! As I just mentioned, I signed up for a full year, so I’m considered a Select Member. That just means that I’m able to choose between colors/styles/items for a few of the products. The rest of the items are a surprise, but I’m terrible with surprises, so I always look for spoilers ahead of time!

*This post contains some affiliate links. I receive a small percentage of the purchase price at no additional cost to you. However, I paid for this box and subscription with my own money and this post is not sponsored.

Let’s start with the surprise items! The big ticket item in the box is this Foreo Luna! fofo ($89 value). Everyone received this item in their boxes, but they came in different colors. The yellow is the color I wanted the least, but it’s just a cleansing product, so it doesn’t really matter. If you’re not familiar with this product, it uses Bluetooth to connect to an app on your phone to create a personalized skin profile (using the skin sensors on the back). Then it creates a cleaning routine for your skin. I’ve used it a few times already and it’s pretty amazing what it can do.

The other two surprise items are COOLA Classic Face SPF 50 in White Tea ($32 value) and a marble ring dish from Pier 1 Imports ($15 value). I already use a daily moisturizer with SPF 45, so I’m not sure how much I’ll use the sunscreen, but Adam might like it when he’s doing yard work. The marble ring dish is so cute and will be perfect now that I’m wearing more jewelry.

The next two items are two of the products that everyone was able to select. The first one is the Summer & Rose beach towel ($55 value). For that item, all members were able to pick between a beach towel (available in 2 prints) or a Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case (available in 2 prints). The makeup case was really cute, but I already have a nice set from Christmas a few years ago. Plus we have a pool, so the towel seemed like a better option. The towel is HUGE and so perfect for wrapping up after a swim. The size would be awesome for a beach day too!

The next Choice product is the Jaboneria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar ($48 value). For this product we were able to pick the body caviar, an ERTH Tu Y Yo Ring, or Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel. I would never wear the ring and I still have a sore muscle massage oil from a previous box, so I picked the body caviar. It has a perfume-y smell that I don’t really like, but I love how it makes my skin feel! Luckily the scent doesn’t last too long.

The last three products are items that only select members were able to pick to customize their boxes. Seasonal subscribers are sent a random item from each grouping. My first choice was this Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight & Contour Palette ($45 value). The other option was Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Palette (eye shadow) and their Sex Kitten Liquid Liner. Although I’m not sure if I’ll ever use the highlight and contour palette (I need to actually learn how to highlight and contour), I already have WAY too many eye shadows, so I didn’t want to pick that option.

My next pick was the Orlando Pita Play Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment Spray ($34 value). I blow dry and straighten my hair almost every day, so this is definitely a product that I need! The other option was an Elemis Enzyme Papaya Peel. I really wanted that product too, but I picked an enzyme product for my next selection (see below), so picking another one seemed like overkill.

So as I just mentioned, my last pick was this Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ($29 value). I’m obsessed with this product! I used it the other night and my face felt SO soft afterwards. I’m constantly battling dry skin, so this product is a new favorite! It is pretty rough, so I would be careful if you have sensitive skin though. The other choices were a Maji Sports Loop Resistance Band or Minor History Post Script Wallet. I didn’t think I’d ever use either of those, so this was an easy pick.

We also all received a Wildlife Conservation Society reusable straw. The Wildlife Conservation Society was the featured charity for this box, so the straw was an added bonus. I mentioned last year that I’m on a mission to stop using disposable straws, so I love that this was included.

That’s everything that was included in the Summer 2018 box! Overall, I loved this box and I’m so excited that we didn’t receive another wrap/scarf/poncho. As I’ve said before, I wouldn’t have picked most of these products on my own, but that’s kind of the point. My favorite items are probably the hair protectant spray and enzyme face scrub. My version of the box included $347 worth of products for only $45! I don’t think a lot of the items are worth the listed price (a $55 beach towel?!?!), but they are definitely worth more than $45!
If you want to try FabFitFun, you can use this link and promo code EPIC to save $10 off your first box. If you don’t want to commit to a full year, you can sign up with that link for just one box, get everything for $40, and then cancel.

Also, I have 2 Starter Boxes that I can send out! Each Starter Box comes with 3-4 full-size products valued at over $75 for only $5 S&H! I sent one to Adam’s sister-in-law and she received some great products! You can cancel anytime within 21 days and you won’t be charged. Leave your email if you are interested (available to new members only). I’ll send out the invitation to the first 2!

Do you subscribe to any subscription boxes? I just signed up for the June Keto Krate and I’m so eager to see what’s in it! We’re almost 3 months into Keto and I’m excited for some new products to try!

    1. It's definitely worth the money! I love that it's quarterly too. It keeps it from being too expensive and from being overwhelmed with products. I like that I have a few months to try everything before the next box arrives.

    1. I love that they included the straw and information about how terrible plastic straws are for the environment. Hopefully it'll encourage more people to stop using them.

    1. At first I wasn't that excited about the sunscreen because I feel like I already have a lot, but I love that this one is specifically for the face.
