Insta-16: Take 14

It’s time for another round of Instagram pictures! You can see the previous 13 recaps here

If you have an account, you can follow me at: sam_whit22.  If not, this recap is for you! I’ve rounded up my last 16 Instagram pictures for you here today. This roundup includes pictures from my trip to Italy and my trip to Philadelphia, plus a few doggy pictures (as usual).

As usual, my plan is to share a pretty collage of all the pictures and then pick my top 5 in different categories: Abby, Ringo, Cutest Couple (Ringo and Abby), Yummy (Food or Drink), and Wildcard (Non-Food and Non-Puppy).

OK, enough talk! Here’s the 14th round of Instagram pictures:

And here are my favorites:

Abby

I bought Ringo and Abby Captain America costumes for Halloween. PetSmart usually marks their costumes half off a week or so before Halloween, so I always pick up a couple just for fun. I don’t actually dress them up and take them out. I just take a few pictures and have a few laughs. Abby doesn’t love wearing clothes, but she looks so cute I can’t help myself. Look at that sweet, sad face!

Ringo

On the other hand, Ringo doesn’t mind being dressed up. I think he actually liked his costume. He ran outside to bark at all of the neighborhood dogs in his Captain America suit.

Cutest Couple

In late September – mid October I was away from home three out of four weeks. I’m usually not gone that much, so by the end of my travels the dogs were so excited to finally have me home. They didn’t leave my side for the first few days and I’m not complaining. I definitely missed those two silly dogs while I was away.

Yummy

Chocolate gelato in Rome…I don’t think this ‘Yummy’ picture can ever be topped! My mom and I ate gelato every single day except one while we were in Italy…and the one day we didn’t have gelato, I had two other amazing desserts at dinner. Good thing we walked a lot every day! Luckily there’s a great gelato shop near my house so I can still get my fix at home (Gelato Dolce Vita).

Wildcard

It was really hard to pick a favorite this time around, but I had to go with the picture of the Colosseum. I’ve already shared a lot of pictures of Venice and Florence in my Travel Tuesday recaps, but I haven’t had a chance to recap Rome yet. The Colosseum was beyond amazing. It’s mind blowing to think about how old it is (opened in 80 A.D.) and to think about how many people have passed through it over the centuries. It’s a shame that nearly two-thirds of the original Colosseum was destroyed before conservation and restoration efforts began.
