I've been to both cities but I was a student and hadn't found my "travel style" so I'm not sure I experienced either of them fully. The only suggestion I have is to plan for time to just sit in sidewalk cafes and watch people - I wish I had done more of that rather than rushing from one museum to the next. SO excited for you!!!Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13382135934095550832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7388209260861059222.post-21171097857787065052013-03-28T06:43:01.793-07:002013-03-28T06:43:01.793-07:00That is so exciting! We absolutely loved it! In London, you should definitely visit the major tourist attractions like Westminster Abbey, London Bridge/Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle & Hampton Court Palace (day trips), Covent Garden Market, Neal's Yard, etc. One of our favorite things to do while in London was to walk around. I recommend buying a bus pass and hopping on and off whenever you feel like it. This will give you an opportunity to explore the city and probably find some hidden gems that you wouldn't see on an organized tour. In Paris, going to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Notre Dame are musts, but don't overlook Montmartre. Sacre Couer Basilica at the top of the Montmartre district will give you an incredible bird's eye view of the entire city. We found our best photo ops here. Plus, the area itself is very picturesque with cafes, artists, and shops. If you have time for a day trip, Versailles is an absolute must. This was probably the highlight of our entire trip. Before you go, it's important to remember that it's easy to spend A LOT of money at these attractions so plan accordingly. Figure out what's important for you and your mom to see beforehand. And if you can't tell I'm slightly obsessed with travel itineraries, so feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help!! :)Erin @ Humble Hardy Happeningshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06560316762614217707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7388209260861059222.post-48313507854956620142013-03-27T13:14:26.160-07:002013-03-27T13:14:26.160-07:00Sam - we live in London. As for bringing your mobile (above comment) do - just cut off data roaming & use wifi - readily available in many spots - hotels, starbucks, etc. Have great info on antique markets too if that is your thing. Can give you Paris tips as well.

Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18298504456323812910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7388209260861059222.post-5884662491004377932013-03-27T13:06:35.823-07:002013-03-27T13:06:35.823-07:00How exciting!! Of course you need to go to Harrods, see the Crown Jewels, and take a few Castle tours. I can't wait to read what everyone else says.Linda {Calling it Home}https://www.blogger.com/profile/06589558175461744076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7388209260861059222.post-56026048640960656492013-03-27T09:45:42.396-07:002013-03-27T09:45:42.396-07:00I have zero advice since I go pretty much no where...I have zero advice since I go pretty much no where but...

HOLY CRAP That IS SO COOL YOU SHOULD SEND ME A POST CARD AND A SHOT GLASS CUZ I Collect THEM AND I AM SO JEALOUS!!!

are you going to Ireland or Scotland while you're there??
