ORC Week 4: Let’s Talk Walls

It’s Week 4 of the One Room Challenge! That means only 2 weeks until the full reveal! I still have a lot left to do, but I’m actually feeling pretty good about finishing on time. We’ll see if I’m still feeling so confident next week…

I actually don’t have a lot of progress to share today because we were out of town most of last week. We left for Louisville and Nashville last Wednesday and were gone through Sunday. We had such a fun trip, but I did miss out on some prime ORC project time. Of course I’d rather be stuffing my face with hot chicken than painting nightstands, so I’m not complaining!

Luckily I planned ahead and ordered a few items before we left so they would be delivered by the time we got home. The first piece is this macramé wall hanging. Can you believe it was less than $20 on Amazon?!?! I love how it fills up the space and adds more texture to the room.

I also ordered this set of Dahlia prints from Jenny’s Print Shop. I had them printed and shipped by Costco and they turned out fantastic! The frames are from Michael’s (on sale of course) and I love them! I think everything for both pictures ended up being less than $100. That’s a pretty great deal for 2 framed pieces of 16x20 art! I still need to hang them though...

I still need to make the tassel garland and update the message on my chalkboard, but my mom left me this while she was watching our dogs and now I kinda don’t want to erase it.

I’m also rethinking my plan to change out the mirror in here. Originally I was going to replace this one with a round mirror with black trim, but I think this one still works in here. It’ll save me at least $50 not to replace it too...

For next week, I’m hoping to have the nightstands painted, new curtain rod installed, buy/hang a hook rack next to closet, and have all of the last items ordered. If I can get all of that done, I’ll definitely be on schedule for a full reveal in 2 weeks!

Don’t forget to check out the official participants here and the other guest participants here! There’s so many great projects going on right now. I seriously can’t wait for the reveals!
